DOCUMENTARY FILMS: PRODUCTION | POST-PRODUCTION

Set up in 2017 by filmmaker Gasper D’Souza, White Brick Post began as a boutique post-production facility for independent documentary filmmakers. Today we have expanded our profile to also include a limited number of productions that align with our philosophy.

As filmmakers, our core is story. Everything we do, in production and in post, must serve that story. We believe in the zen approach to filmmaking – less is more. Any intervention on field or in the edit suite, has to be justified as being essential to clarifying the narrative. If not, it stays on the cutting room floor.

From the remote schools for girls in impoverished districts of India, to the vast expanse of the Raan of Kutch, to the mystical dance rituals of Theyam performed under the cloak of darkness in Kerala – we’ve been fascinated by the humanity that lies at the heart of these narratives.

Since 2012, Gasper has been practicing as a freelance documentary filmmaker, producing short features for Euronews Television, across India. He’s worn multiple hats – researching, directing, interviewing, shooting, and editing – all with a focus on bringing the human element of the story to the forefront.
